Job Summary
Design, develop, and deploy predictive machine learning models for sportsbook risk management and odds trading. Rigorously validate algorithms using back-testing on historical data and simulations before bringing solutions into production. Leverage extensive sports datasets and betting transaction data to design novel data analysis methods tailored to application domains. Collaborate with product owners and technical leads to present solutions to stakeholders, maintaining full ownership of the AI lifecycle from modeling to continuous improvement. Present ideas clearly to software developers and business partners while managing low latency streaming analytics solutions.
Required Qualifications
- knowledgeable in machine learning and statistics
- Strong programming skills and software development experience needed to productize low latency streaming analytics solutions
- Profficiency with advanced querying of large analytical databases using SQL
- Programming experience is a must
- Experience with Python, R or similar statistical and/or machine learning software/toolkits
- Bachelor of Science in Mathematics / Statistics, Computer Science / Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience acceptable
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Autonomous, rigorous, creative and a team player
- experience with risk management and portfolio optimization in financial, gaming or sports betting contexts
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in data science, statistical modelling, applied mathematics and/or software engineering
- Experience working in Java
- Hands-on experience with real-time streaming analytics frameworks such as Apache Flink and streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka
- Experience working with Mac/Linux environments
