Job Summary
Senior Data Scientist embedded within MarketCast's Data Science Product team, responsible for designing, developing, and iterating models, methodologies, and analytical frameworks that power MarketCast's product offerings. Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to ensure models are robust, scalable, and commercially compelling; lead prototyping and experimentation, define A/B tests, pilots, and benchmarking studies; partner with engineering on scalable production pipelines; establish rigorous validation standards and document methodologies for reproducibility and auditability; contribute to thought leadership through internal enablement and external publications.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- 5+ years of experience in data science
- Strong proficiency in Python (scikit-learn, pandas, numpy) and SQL
- Experience with machine learning techniques and Generative AI algorithms
- Experience developing and validating data science solutions in a product or platform context
- Solid understanding of experimental design, statistical inference, and model evaluation frameworks
- Experience with large datasets and cloud-based computing environments
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders
