Job Summary

Partner with internal and external teams to drive new business initiatives by developing predictive models and business intelligence solutions for credit, fraud, insurance, and marketing applications. Lead analytic client engagements involving descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis, taking ownership of the full project lifecycle from design and development to peer review, client presentation, and implementation audit. Design and test programs for data extraction and statistical analysis on large datasets using R, Python, SQL, Hive, and Spark, while delivering succinct recommendations to diverse internal and external customers. Identify strategies for adopting TransUnion's analytic products and create proposals and collateral to enable integrated customer solutions. This hybrid role requires reporting to the Director of Science and Analytics with a minimum of two days in-person at an assigned TU office location.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD degree in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, computer science, engineering, operations research, or other highly quantitative field
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with at least 4 years of relevant professional experience
  • Consistent track record of academic excellence
  • Experience and demonstrated success in client-facing roles over a period of at least 1 year
  • At least 1 year of professional experience performing analytic work
  • Experience in industries served by Transunion
  • Advanced programming skills and aptitude
  • Proficiency with statistical programs such as R or Python
  • Experience with other programming languages (SQL, C/C++, Java, Ab Initio)
  • Experience with platforms (Hive, Spark)
  • High level of familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to work in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week
