Job Summary
Senior Data Scientist role within Equifax's Global Identity and Fraud Analytics team. Work with stakeholders to formulate and apply modeling solutions across industries such as Financial Services, Telecommunications, eCommerce, Healthcare, Insurance and Government. Responsibilities include manipulating large diverse datasets, translating business requests into use cases and test cases, preparing training data, iterating on algorithms, presenting results to internal and external customers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy analytical prototypes, and ensuring end-to-end delivery with software teams. Required capabilities include applying advanced predictive modeling techniques (e.g., generalized regression, Bayesian methods, random forest, gradient boosting, neural networks, SVM), hands-on data mining and modeling in Python, R, and SQL, and strong ability to communicate complex analytical concepts; preferred experience includes 4+ years in data science domains such as identity/fraud, credit risk, or security analytics, plus deep learning and feature engineering in big data environments.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Computer Science , Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics or other related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of professional related work experience
- 1-3 years quantitative analytical experience, including conducting hands-on analytics projects using generalized regression models, Bayesian methods, random forest, gradient boosting, neural networks, support vector machine, clustering, and similar methodologies
- Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL
- Strong consultative acumen and ability to understand complex analytical solutions
