Job Summary
Senior Data Scientist (Experimental Design) responsible for developing enterprise-scale test-and-learn capabilities, designing and executing experiments, and building AI/ML models to optimize business objectives. Role involves A/B/multivariate testing, causal inference, and deploying models in collaboration with Data Engineers and MLOps. Requires a PhD with 2+ years or a Master’s with 4+ years (or 3+ years ML experience), Python with PyTorch/TensorFlow, strong statistics foundations, leadership in technical teams, and experience translating analytics into actionable business insights. Hybrid work model across NY/NJ/CT/PA/MA locations.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related field with 2+ years professional experience OR Master's degree with 4+ years professional experience OR 3+ years hands-on ML modeling/development experience
- Strong programming skills in Python including PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
- Solid background in algorithms and a range of ML models
- Proven ability to design, implement and deploy tests/hypotheses to assess consumer behavior
- Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration
- Leadership/mentoring experience for data scientists
- Nice to Have: Insurance industry experience; Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark); Cloud computing; Agile; Data visualization tools (Tableau, QlikView, D3.js)
