Job Summary
Senior Data Scientist role focusing on end-to-end machine-learning-driven forecasting for restaurant venues. You will run model evaluations across venues, engineer features, define requirements for feature store and deployment pipelines, and productionize advanced forecasting approaches (e.g., TiDE-class neural forecasters) with attention to compute footprint and explainability. Collaborate with ML engineers to refine the experimentation environment using Databricks, apply AutoML and LLMs for iteration, and deliver AI-first workflows with agentic and asynchronous processes. You will work on demand forecasting, venue clustering, and per-venue model selection, with emphasis on variance attribution and forecast explainability to inform product decisions. Strong Python data-science skills, experience in MLOps, production-grade pipelines, and a passion for shipping real-world forecasting systems are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting model iterations
- Strong Python and modern data and visualization tooling fluency
- Demand-forecasting depth with boosting models and time-series methods
- Production MLOps experience: end-to-end model shipping, orchestration, experiment tracking, and model serving
- Solid understanding of Databricks and MLOps/deployment pipelines
- Software engineering discipline: type checking, unit tests, CI/CD, code reviews
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams (ML Engineer, backend engineers, Product Manager)
- Curiosity about real-world impact on operators and business metrics
