Job Summary
Spearhead best-in-class statistical models and algorithms, conducting in-depth analysis to extract insights from complex datasets and drive data-driven decision-making. Design and implement machine learning solutions tailored to financial services use cases, translating enterprise data into scalable business strategies while maintaining system operations and maintenance. Mentor cross-functional teams on software engineering design, ensuring ML systems align with corporate IT goals through periodic evaluations and adaptive retraining. Deploy end-to-end data science solutions that deliver significant organizational value, communicating technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Expert proficiency in programming tools (such as Python, R, etc) for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning tasks
- Demonstrate a profound command over computer science fundamentals, encompassing expert-level knowledge of data structures, algorithms, computability and complexity, and computer architecture
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of applications and machine learning algorithms, aligned to best practices globally
- Experienced in deploying or contributed to deployment of at least one end to end data science solutions that has yielded significant value in the organisation at an enterprise level
- Expert proficiency in programming tools (such as Python, R, etc) for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning tasks is essential
