Job Summary
Head a team of data scientists focused on the Marketing & Business Development domain to elevate Reddit’s marketing data science from ad-hoc reporting to strategic, causal, ROI-focused partnerships. Lead, mentor, and set the roadmap for a high-performing team; partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing to deliver actionable insights, quantify incremental lift of marketing spend, standardize measurement frameworks with robust experimental designs and causal inference methods, drive adoption of data-driven recommendations across the organization, ensure data quality and reliable aggregations, and enable self-serve analytics for cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Experience driving product strategy and roadmaps through analytics, ideally for consumer technology products and marketplaces
- Built, led and developed high performing product analytics teams before: ideally 5+ years of leadership experience as a people manager, leading a team of up to 10 data scientists
- Teams you have led had expertise in causal inference, A/B testing experimentation, metric definition and governance, and product strategy
- Led initiatives to enable analytics self serve for cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to understand nuanced complex concepts and explain them simply
- Proficiency in SQL and Python/R for hands-on analysis
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, or similar LLMs) to improve productivity, code quality, and problem-solving
- Collaborative attitude and strong evidence-backed product opinions
