Job Summary
Senior Data Science Project Lead & Analyst at AbbVie France: Lead and perform data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning to identify insights that inform business decisions. Responsibilities include exploratory and advanced analyses, evaluating inputs for predictive models, supervising junior analysts, collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical solutions, and developing dashboards/reports (Power BI, Contour, Workshop) to monitor KPIs. You will work with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, product management, IT) to integrate data solutions into workflows, ensure data governance and security compliance, and explore new tools (Palantir) and methodologies. The role emphasizes building data-driven strategies, staying current with advances in data science, and contributing to pilot projects and analytics initiatives across Europe/Global. Education and experience requirements include a Master’s degree, 6+ years in a data role within the pharmaceutical sector, strong communication skills in English, and proficiency with data visualization and data-platform tools. Remote work up to 2 days per week is available; located at AbbVie France in Boulogne-Billancourt with hybrid work arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field
- 6+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
- Experience with data mining and statistical applications in a business context
- Experience in commercial performance data analysis in the pharmaceutical sector
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product management, and IT teams
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Contour, Workshop)
- Proficiency with Palantir platform
- Autonomous, curious, adaptable, team player
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Knowledge of data governance and security policies
- Experience designing and delivering dashboards and automated reports
- Experience leading or mentoring junior team members
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Willingness to learn and stay updated on data science advancements
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred
