Job Summary
Senior Data Protection Manager to lead and drive privacy and data protection compliance across the UK Hub (UK, Germany, Middle East and South Africa) and associated markets. Responsible for delivering and improving regional privacy programmes, advising on GDPR/POPIA/PDPL and related requirements, conducting DPIAs/RIAs, developing and maintaining privacy policies and governance, embedding privacy-by-design, monitoring risks and regulatory developments, driving remediation, and delivering privacy awareness and training. Partners with business leaders to embed privacy in projects, manages DSAR processes and ROPA inventories, and reports to the Chief Privacy Officer with senior stakeholder engagement. Requires ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment with a minimum of three days in office per week and occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in data protection and privacy compliance in a commercial organisation
- Fluency in English and German; Arabic a plus
- Proven ability to manage high-volume, fast-moving portfolio of priorities
- Experience leading complex compliance programmes across multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication, presentation, and reporting skills; ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance
- Experience with OneTrust (DSAR, Inventory, Assessment, Cookie modules)
- Recognised privacy certification (e.g. ISEB, CIPP/E, CIPM); legal or data governance degree preferred
