Job Summary
Own Procurement's business process data and serve as a subject-matter expert for systems and processes. Work across teams to establish strong data management practices, suggesting new systems or protocols and training staff. Deliver recurring and ad hoc reporting tailored to specific audiences while supporting projects related to process improvements, contracting, and operational priorities. Evaluate proposed legislation affecting Procurement, summarize potential impacts, and make recommendations to improve effectiveness. Manage project plans and timelines for key deliverables while engaging stakeholders to determine local policy objectives. This role requires strong initiative, adaptability, and the ability to handle complicated operational and financial challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of systems or data management experience
- Must be a city of Philadelphia resident within six months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years procurement experience preferred
- Some policy/project management experience preferred
- Experience with any of the following: Public sector environments, Process improvement, Performance management, ERP systems, Technology implementation
