Job Summary
The Data Architect will be a key member of the Digital Insights & Architecture team within Data Services, responsible for leading the design, implementation, and support of data architecture deliverables for various projects including data integration, data warehousing, and analytics. Ideal candidates must possess strong skills in data architecture, data modeling, and metadata management, along with extensive experience in multiple data modeling tools and databases. This role demands strong collaboration with various teams to define requirements and design analytical solutions aligned with organizational strategy.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in data architecture, data modelling (relational and dimensional), data architecture and metadata management
- 6+ years with data modeling tools such as Embarcadero/Erwin/ER Studio or comparable toolsets
- 5+ years hands-on experience with relational databases (DB2, Oracle etc.) and columnar databases (Vertica etc.)
- Extensive Hadoop / Big Data experience is a plus
- Overall understanding of Big Data
- Experience in In-Memory New SQL, NoSQL and Hadoop Hive/Sqoop/Scala/Spark
