Job Summary
Lead data management activities for clinical, observational, and epidemiologic research studies from start-up through database closeout, ensuring data are complete, accurate, and fit for purpose. Design, develop, and maintain study databases, data collection instruments, validation rules, and data cleaning procedures while performing advanced SAS programming to clean, transform, and integrate complex research datasets. Execute data quality and validation procedures, including programmed data checks, reconciliation, and independent QC, to maximize data integrity across multiple sources. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to staff by defining technical approaches, managing risks, and promoting consistent programming and QC practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and study standards.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in computer science, health sciences, or other related field
- M.S. degree in computer science, health sciences, or other related field
- seven or more years of experience with programming and data management in health research
- five or more years of experience with programming and data management in health research
- Advanced SAS programming capabilities
- extensive experience with DATA and PROC steps

- Familiarity with clinical research data standards and regulations (e.g., NIH Common Data Elements, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, GCP, or FAIR principles)
