Job Summary

Design and implement advanced REDCap databases, including longitudinal projects, repeating instruments, and complex branching logic to support clinical research and public health studies. Develop and maintain API-based integrations between REDCap and external systems, automating imports, exports, ETL processes, and data synchronization. Create automated validation rules, discrepancy reports, and monitoring dashboards to ensure data integrity, while operationalizing data collection workflows according to study protocols. Conduct quality control, validation, and user acceptance testing of data systems, and mentor junior staff on database design and programming techniques. Ensure compliance with federal regulations, client guidelines, and corporate SOPs. Required Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in computer science, health sciences, or other related field
  • M.S. degree in computer science, health sciences, or other related field
  • five or more years of experience with leading development of EDC systems (such as REDCap, REDCap Cloud, SurveyCTO, or OpenClinica) which includes administration, design, quality control, and user acceptance testing for collecting, monitoring, and reporting on study data

  • Advanced experience building complex longitudinal, multi-arm, multilingual, and survey-based REDCap projects
  • Experience integrating EDC systems with external systems such as electronic health records (EHRs), laboratory systems, cloud storage, or reporting platforms through APIs or ETL pipelines
  • Experience designing edit checks, automated validation rules, data cleaning workflows, discrepancy management, and audit processes
  • Experience managing development, testing, and production environments using documented change control, versioning, and release management practices
  • Advanced QA/QC and troubleshooting skills related to REDCap configuration, APIs, system performance, and external system integrations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications
