Senior Data Governance Analyst

Job Summary

Develop and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements including BCBS 239, GDPR, CCPA, SOX, GLBA, and FFIEC. Lead data classification efforts for PII and MNPI while managing the enterprise data catalog, business glossary, and lineage documentation. Partner with data owners to define quality rules, monitor metrics, and track remediation plans for Critical Data Elements. Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Internal Audit teams to support regulatory exams and risk assessments, while designing access control processes with Information Security. Facilitate governance council meetings, prepare reporting for senior management, and contribute to training programs to embed a data governance culture. Requires 5+ years of experience in data governance within financial services, proficiency in SQL, and eligibility to work in Jordan.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data quality, including 2+ years in financial services or another regulated industry
  • Working knowledge of financial services data regulations and frameworks, including BCBS 239, GDPR, CCPA, SOX, GLBA, and FFIEC guidelines
  • Hands-on experience with data governance or data catalog platforms such as Collibra, Informatica Axon/EDC, Alation, or similar tools
  • Experience with data quality frameworks, metadata management, and data lineage concepts
  • Experience with data classification and sensitive data handling, including PII, MNPI, and confidential data
  • Experience working across business, risk, compliance, and technology teams, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Eligibility to work in Jordan

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Proficiency in SQL, with familiarity with data modeling concepts
  • Experience supporting regulatory exams or audits such as OCC, Fed, FDIC, or equivalent regional regulators
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and privacy-by-design principles
  • Understanding of the governance implications of cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, or Azure
  • CDMP, DGSP, or a similar data governance certification
