Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer at an all-remote, US-based team responsible for evolving and streamlining data ETL/ELT processes, BI dashboards (internal and external), and data warehousing workflows with a focus on scale, security, maintainability, and validation. You will gather requirements from internal customers (data science, sales, etc.), lead data workflow improvements, and help ensure robust monitoring, alarming, and reporting. Required skills include Python and advanced SQL, Snowflake, DataBricks (nice to have), AWS, Airflow, RBAC/security, CI/CD, and experience building large-scale data pipelines and governance practices. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and effective communication within a remote-first culture; location is US remote.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience with data warehouses
- Python and strong SQL skills
- Bachelor's or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
- Proven experience building, deploying, and operating large-scale ETL/ELT processes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Orchestrating data workflows using Apache Airflow
- RBAC/security experience
- Strong engineering leadership skills
- Experience with SaaS offerings: Snowflake
- Containerization, serverless processes, microservice architectures
- Experience with effective usage of AI powered code editors, e.g., Cursor
- Nice to have: Databricks experience
- Experience with streaming ad delivery, ad campaigns, OTT streaming formats (HLS, DASH), SSAI architectures
- Effective communication skills and team player
