Job Summary
Build and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines across diverse data sources while developing automated validation checks to identify data issues early. Model and move data across relational and analytical stores, monitor pipeline health, and troubleshoot data quality and performance issues. Design scalable, observable pipelines and review human- and AI-generated code for quality, correctness, and consistency. Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and clients to define data quality standards, communicate risks clearly, and resolve root causes of integrity issues using AI coding agents. Requires 5+ years of experience, AWS proficiency, and fluency with Claude Code or Codex. Fully remote role within a global consulting firm specializing in AI-powered transformations for Fortune 100 clients.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or backend engineering
- Advanced proficiency in at least one core language, preferably TypeScript/Node.js or Python
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills across relational and analytical data stores
- Solid understanding of data ingestion, ETL, transformation, and pipeline architecture
- Experience designing scalable data validation, integrity, and quality checks
- Experience building and operating data solutions on AWS
- Fluency working alongside AI coding agents, such as Claude Code or Codex, and reviewing AI-generated code
- Rigorous approach to data correctness, reliability, and observability
- Strong ownership mindset and practical root-cause problem-solving skills
- Strong English communication skills, including the ability to explain data quality concepts to non-specialists
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, engineers, and product teams
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, agile consulting environment
