Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer to build and maintain production data pipelines, collaborate with stakeholders to translate ambiguous data needs into technical specs, and deliver high-quality data sets that inform business decisions. You will be embedded within the business unit, participate in stakeholder meetings, and manage your domain end-to-end. Key skills include Python development, workflow orchestration (Airflow, Luigi, Jenkins), cloud data pipelines (AWS, GCP, Azure), and strong communication. Location is San Francisco, with a requirement to be on-site three days per week.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Strong Python development skills
- Production experience with Airflow, Luigi, Jenkins, or comparable workflow orchestration
- Experience building data pipelines in the public cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong communication (ex: push back, clarify, and manage expectations proactively)
- Based in or able to commute to San Francisco 3 days per week
