Senior Data Engineer, Simulation & Synthetic (m/f/d)

Job Summary
Construct and expand rich, realistic simulation environments for autonomous off-road vehicles, generating high-fidelity synthetic sensor data from cameras and LiDAR to train perception algorithms. Craft complex virtual scenarios in dense forests and adverse weather, while developing data augmentation pipelines and implementing Sim2Real strategies to bridge the gap between virtual testing and real-world performance. Integrate simulation modules seamlessly with the ROS/ROS2-based robotics software stack and collaborate closely with AI and robotics teams to accelerate model development. This role supports ARX Robotics' mission to develop autonomous unmanned systems for defense and civilian first responders.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Python or C++
- hands-on experience with ROS2
- Proven experience developing simulation environments (e.g., Unity)

- Deep familiarity with camera and LiDAR sensors
