Job Summary
Design scalable and resilient data solutions by building, maintaining, and optimizing pipelines across batch and streaming workloads. Collaborate with Architects and Principal Engineers to develop robust data models using dbt, orchestrate workflows via Azure and Google Clouds, and manage cloud data warehouses on Snowflake and BigQuery. Ensure best practices in data governance, cataloguing, observability, and security while writing clean code in SQL, Python, and PowerShell. Participate in a light rotating on-call schedule of approximately one week per month.
Required Qualifications
- Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in data engineering
- Deep understanding of data warehouse, data lake, and modern data engineering
- Ability to communicate such understanding
- Practice experience working in an agile development environment
- Familiarity with DevOps culture
- Hands-on expertise with Snowflake (or equivalent modern cloud DWH)
- Advanced skills in SQL
- Experience using dbt
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with data governance and metadata management
- Experience with Data Vault 2.0 or NoSQL technologies (e.g., MongoDB, Cosmos DB)
- Comfortable working across teams and translating business needs into scalable data solutions
