Senior Data Engineer

Lead end-to-end architecture for secure, cloud-based mission applications spanning front-end, back-end, microservices, data, and AWS infrastructure layers. Define reference architectures, design patterns, and API contracts while establishing component standards for React, Java, and Python solutions. Architect microservices using Spring Boot and Apache Camel, design database schemas across relational and NoSQL platforms, and manage AWS deployments including EC2, ECS, RDS, and Lambda. Provide hands-on technical leadership through code reviews, infrastructure-as-code audits, and design reviews to resolve cross-team architectural issues. Embed security and compliance controls such as NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP into all designs, supporting ATO activities and POA&M remediation. Mentor engineers and engage with government stakeholders to present trade-off analyses and roadmap recommendations. Requires Public Trust 6C clearance and eight years of information assurance experience. Hybrid schedule includes one day on-site.
