Job Summary
Design data warehouse solutions using dimensional methodologies to support ETL processes and analytics applications. Develop, implement, and tune SQL queries, DDL, and DML while writing code that meets design specifications and follows standards. Create and maintain end-to-end features, including gathering requirements, testing, and supporting production processes for multiple systems. Drive the storage and ingestion platform by evolving the technology stack with development best practices. Own business critical data integrations and operational excellence within Redfin's Analytics Data Warehouse. Work closely with Analytics and Engineering teams to enhance the data infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience overall in Enterprise Data Warehouse focused roles
- 5+ years of experience writing SQL for production applications
- 3+ years of experience in at least one object-oriented or scripting language (i.e., Python, Java, Scala, etc.)
- strong experience with AWS Redshift and AWS Cloud Products (i.e., S3, DynamoDB, EC2, etc.)
- experience building ETL pipelines for analytical purposes
- experience building large scale Data lakes
- architectural insights on where to store data and modeling experience to recommend how it should be structured to make it accessible, performant, and resilient to change
