Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and services supporting large-scale search and analytics. Responsibilities include developing batch and ELT/ETL workflows, working with Python and Java, Spark, SQL, and Airflow, applying strong software engineering practices (testing, documentation, CI/CD), contributing to AWS-based cloud systems, and collaborating with product, platform, and data science teams to deliver meaningful outcomes. Emphasis on reliability, monitoring, automation, and knowledge sharing within a global information & analytics platform. Required Qualifications
- Experience working as a data or software engineer on production systems
- Strong skills in Python and experience with at least one backend language such as Java
- Understanding of data engineering concepts such as data lakes, batch processing, and distributed systems
- Experience building or operating data pipelines using tools like Spark and Airflow
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and production monitoring
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving
