Senior Data Engineer (Python/Scala)

Job Summary
Develop scalable distributed systems handling over 3.6 billion daily domain events, focusing on data capture, processing, storage, and visualization. Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code using Python or Scala while applying AWS methodologies for compute, storage, and databases. Design highly available, resilient architectures with strong SQL proficiency across relational and non-relational databases. Propose new approaches for system architecture and communicate design decisions within an agile team. Work remotely from Madrid on a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week. Required Qualifications
- 6-7 years of experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g.,Python, or Scala)
- Experience delivering and supporting highly available and scalable solutions with large transaction volumes
- Experience with both relational and non-relational databases, with strong proficiency in SQL
- Experience using cloud services (AWS is preferred)
