Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions. Key duties include building ETL/ELT processes, implementing data quality checks, collaborating with data scientists and analysts, developing data models and dictionaries, monitoring pipeline performance, evaluating new data technologies, documenting pipelines and governance policies, participating in code reviews, and supporting migration of pipelines to scalable solutions. Must have strong Python or Java proficiency, SQL expertise, experience with cloud platforms, ETL/ELT tools like Airflow, NoSQL (MongoDB), and a solid understanding of data validation and modeling techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
- Proficiency in Python or Java
- SQL and database management systems experience
- NoSQL databases experience (e.g., MongoDB)
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- ETL/ELT tools knowledge (e.g., Apache Airflow)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with data scientists, analysts, BI, and software engineers
