Senior Data Engineer - Power Factors

Job Summary
Own the data foundation for the PF-LLM programme and the inference/ platform integration stack. Design and build production ETL pipelines across wind and PV sites, define canonical signal schemas, implement data quality gates, dataset versioning, and backfill with idempotency guarantees. Build and maintain the batch/on-demand inference API, establish latency/throughput baselines, and instrument observability. Integrate forecasts into the Power Factors product platform with proper auth, isolation, and feature flags. Collaborate with ML Engineer and platform teams to document data flows, support pilot customer rollout, and ensure scalable data pipelines for model training and serving.
Required Qualifications
- Must-Have Qualifications: 6+ years of back-end and data engineering experience; Production-grade ETL/ELT pipeline design at scale; Schema design and data modelling; Data quality engineering with automated quality gates and dataset versioning; API design and development with RESTful services; Experience integrating ML model outputs into SaaS surfaces; Cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD; Python and SQL; Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks; Airflow/Prefect/Dagster or equivalent.
