Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and scaling data pipelines and data platform infrastructure. Responsibilities include designing ELT/ETL pipelines with Microsoft Fabric and DBT, orchestrating workflows using Apache Airflow, implementing data quality checks and data contracts, collaborating with analytics engineers and BI developers to deliver trusted data products, and contributing to data governance, cataloguing, and documentation practices. Core technologies include Microsoft Fabric, Apache Airflow, DBT, Terraform, Python, SQL, Azure Data Lake, Delta Lake, PySpark. The role may offer remote or hybrid work options depending on client requirements; located in Pune, India.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of data engineering experience in a cloud environment
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouses, Spark, Data Factory, Pipelines)
- Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
- Experience with DBT for transformations, testing, and documentation
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts and CI/CD practices
- Understanding of data modelling concepts (dimensional, medallion architecture)
