Job Summary
Design and build Big Data and analytics platforms by selecting technologies for complex cloud environments and developing, executing, and scaling data pipelines on cluster architectures. Engineer data models, ensure data quality through transformations, and deliver data to storage technologies for dashboards, APIs, and AI systems. Establish infrastructure and DevOps workflows using IaC and CI/CD while supporting the Data Science team in model deployment and operationalization. Organize projects regarding planning and coordination and actively participate in the engineering community. Requires a degree in Computer Science or related field, four years of experience, and expertise in Python, Scala, or Java alongside cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP. Full-time role in Munich, Nuremberg, Leipzig, Essen, Berlin, or Frankfurt am Main with flexible work-life balance and hybrid options.
Required Qualifications
- Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Studium der Informatik, Computer Science, Data Engineering oder einem anderen mathematisch/ naturwissenschaftlichem Feld oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
- Mindestens 4 Jahre Vollzeit Berufserfahrung als Data Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Developer oder ähnlichem Berufsfeld
- Fließende Kommunikationsfähigkeit auf Deutsch und Englisch
- Reisebereitschaft im Rahmen einer Consulting Tätigkeit
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse in einer Programmiersprache (z.B. Python, Scala oder Java), insbesondere mit deren Data Engineering-Komponenten bzw. Bibliotheken sowie Kenntnisse von GIT
- Starke Kenntnisse mit Technologien von mindestens einem Cloud Anbieter: Azure / AWS / GCP, insbesondere mit deren Data Engineering-Komponenten und Services
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse in relationalen Datenbanken wie z.B. MySQL und PostgreSQL und Datenmodellierung
- Kenntnisse mit Databricks / Snowflake, OpenTable formats (DeltaTable, Iceberg, Hudi) sowie Erfahrung in der Leitung von Projekten
