Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer to help build a brand-new Snowflake-based data platform from the ground up. You’ll design and establish scalable Snowflake architecture (databases, compute strategy, access model, environments), build production-grade data pipelines from ingestion through transformation to consumption, and define data modeling standards (layered architecture, semantic models). Ensure data reliability through testing, monitoring, and observability; partner with analytics and business stakeholders to translate data needs into durable data products; optimize performance and cost across Snowflake and pipeline workloads; contribute to data governance, security, and access patterns as part of platform design; help promote engineering best practices across the data team. Responsibilities emphasize hands-on engineering and cutting-edge cloud technologies, with a focus on scalable data platforms, data quality, and collaboration with analytics stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience as a Data Engineer in production environments
- Deep SQL expertise and experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred)
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ELT patterns, and pipeline design
- Experience building and operating reliable data pipelines (testing, monitoring, observability)
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks
- Fluency in spoken and written English
