Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain scalable knowledge graph and graph-based data solutions by translating ontology and semantic models into production-ready graph data pipelines. Develop pipelines to ingest, transform, and populate data into graph platforms like Neo4j, Stardog, and GraphDB, while optimizing queries and traversal logic using Cypher. Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across graph systems, integrating these solutions with cloud and enterprise data ecosystems such as BigQuery. Apply strong architecture principles for technology selection and layered system design, writing clean, testable, production-grade code in Python, Java, or Node.js. Collaborate with ontologists, data engineers, and AI teams to enable downstream intelligent applications, while contributing to solution design, estimation, and client discussions. Mentor junior team members and operate with ownership and technical judgment. Hybrid work model with travel required for client-facing projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI, or related fields
- Hands-on experience in data engineering, with exposure to knowledge graph or semantic data systems
- Experience with graph technologies such as Neo4j, Stardog, GraphDB, and concepts like RDF/OWL
- Strong understanding of data modelling, system design, and architecture decision-making
- Experience with graph query languages (e.g., Cypher) and graph-based data processing
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data ecosystems
- Ability to design and build scalable data pipelines and integrations
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Ability to operate in roles requiring ownership, design thinking, and technical judgment
- Candidates must possess or be able to obtain work authorization for their intended country of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Travel is a requirement at ZS for client facing ZSers; business needs of your project and client are the priority. While some projects may be local, all client-facing ZSers should be prepared to travel as needed.
