Senior Data Engineer IT (Supply Chain)

Job Summary

Lead and mentor a data engineering team to build trusted solutions supporting planning, procurement, manufacturing, inventory, logistics, and transportation. Design scalable pipelines, dimensional models, and semantic assets while establishing best practices for CI/CD, monitoring, and data governance. Partner with stakeholders to modernize enterprise platforms, reduce technical debt, and improve data quality across cloud and legacy environments. Requires 7+ years in SQL and data platforms, 5+ years in Python/ETL, and strong supply chain process knowledge. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Salary ranges from $120,000 to $165,000 plus bonus.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience with SQL and enterprise data platforms
  • 5+ years of experience building data pipelines and integrations using Python and/or modern ETL/ELT tools
  • Strong experience with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, semantic models, and analytical data structures
  • Experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and managing cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain processes such as planning, procurement, manufacturing, inventory, logistics, transportation, or warehousing
  • Experience with data quality, monitoring, observability, and production support
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer and not require current or future visa sponsorship

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Composer/Airflow, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, or Data Fusion
  • Experience with Incorta, Oracle Analytics Server, AtScale, Cube, or similar analytics/semantic platforms
  • Experience with Oracle data warehouses, Informatica, PL/SQL, and advanced SQL performance tuning
  • Experience with enterprise data governance, metadata, data quality, and business glossaries
  • Experience modernizing cloud and legacy data environments
  • Experience in food manufacturing, CPG, Supply Chain, logistics, or related industries
