Job Summary
Design, implement, and optimize ETL/ELT solutions using MS SQL and Azure Data Factory to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. Architect data warehouse solutions ensuring data integrity and performance while building custom reports and dashboards with Power BI and Tableau. Analyze complex source data to determine extraction and loading strategies, providing technical assistance in system development and production support. Work within an agile methodology to configure solutions for application subject matter experts, focusing on SQL optimization and middleware integrations. This role serves as the technical SME for data, driving efficiency and reducing operational costs within Blattner's renewable energy construction team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a technology area of study; preferably in Computer Science, MIS or Analytics
- Previous experience as a database developer with 5-8 years of database development, with a focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing data warehouse solutions
- Proficiency in designing ETL workflows, including data cleansing, transformation, and data loading strategies
- Extensive experience with data dictionaries, data analysis, and relational databases
- Proven understanding of SQL optimization (indexing and ability to interpret and act on execution plans)
- Expert knowledge in MS SQL Development (SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Functions, etc.)
