Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer to lead data engineering initiatives for high-priority projects. This hybrid role in Fort Bragg, NC focuses on developing, implementing, and securing data pipelines and architecture to support mission-critical government objectives. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes using Python, Airflow, and NiFi; building scalable micro-services for data handling; curating, cleansing, and securing data across multiple classification levels; enabling batch and streaming data processing; integrating pipelines with data lakes, warehouses, and databases; collaborating with cross-functional teams; ensuring data handling best practices and security compliance; and employing data visualization to make data accessible for mission teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of related experience
- Current DoW TS/SCI Clearance is required
- Citizenship: US Citizenship Required
- Experience with Python, SQL (PostgreSQL and/or TSQL), Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo, Airflow, NiFi
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL, data lakes/warehouses, data security
- Experience in Linux environment
- Ability to design data pipelines and ETL processes; data pipeline integration with data lakes/warehouses/databases
- Experience with cloud-based data engineering tools (AWS, OpenSearch/ElasticSearch)
- Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Education: Bachelor's degree; advanced degrees a plus
- Hybrid on-site in Fort Bragg with 3 days on-site and 2 days WFH
- Security/compliance requirements for handling classified data
