Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and models powering analytics and decision-making. Requires expertise with Databricks, Spark, Python, AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda), and modern data architecture; focus on performance optimization, automation, data governance, and end-to-end data solutions. Responsibilities include architecting ETL/ELT workflows, enabling governed data access for analytics, optimizing data workflows, leveraging cloud infrastructure, establishing data engineering standards, building data models, implementing automation/monitoring, and collaborating cross-functionally with data analysts, scientists, and business users.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake) and Python-based ETL frameworks
- Solid experience with AWS cloud services for data processing/storage
- Proficiency in SQL for data wrangling/transformation
- Experience with data lake architectures, ELT/ETL development, and orchestration tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and code reviews
- Experience with Power BI or other BI tools (Tableau, Looker) for data visualization/self-service reporting
