Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer role (Forward deployed) for an automotive-industry data transformation initiative. You’ll build and maintain Snowflake data pipelines for Dealer 360 and Aftermarket workstreams, design and implement dealer and aftermarket feature stores, build ingestion pipelines from external sources (JD Power, PIN, S&P, Vehicle Registration, and more), write and maintain dbt models for transformation and cleaning, enforce schema validation and data quality checks with freshness SLAs, collaborate with the Data Architect on a unified data model, and produce documented data lineage before model training. Requires 8+ years in data engineering, Snowflake expertise, Python (pandas, PySpark), and experience building ML feature stores; familiarity with Azure tools and orchestration (Airflow) is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in data engineering on cloud platforms
- Snowflake — data modelling, query optimisation, staging environments
- Python — pandas, PySpark, data pipeline scripting
- Experience building feature stores for ML consumption
- Strong understanding of schema design and dimensional modelling
