Job Summary
Design and own data storage and management architecture for software and AI/ML workflows, developing tools for workflow orchestration and test campaign infrastructure. Manage large data volumes of identity documents and biometric records while enforcing GDPR compliance and access policies. Set up backend APIs and maintain platform infrastructure including CI/CD, containerization, and deployments with automated testing. Collaborate with ML teams, product design, QA, and DevOps in an agile environment to prioritize deliverables. Lead architectural decisions on the data lake, storage organization, and tooling choices within a multidisciplinary team focused on industrialization and observability.
Required Qualifications
- Application development in Python
- API frameworks and REST APIs (FastAPI/Django REST or equivalent)
- Automated testing with pytest; strong quality and coverage mindset
- SQL databases: solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and MariaDB (modeling, query writing, migrations, basic performance tuning)
- Data storage: design and operation of data storage solutions, including S3-compatible object storage (Ceph/Rook)
- Docker and Kubernetes: containerization best practices and cluster deployments
- English required (international environment)
- This position is based in Rennes, France
Desired Qualifications
- Helm and ArgoCD: we are currently migrating our full stack to a Kubernetes + Helm + ArgoCD deployment model, hands-on experience here is a significant advantage
- Identity and access management: Keycloak or equivalent SSO/IAM solutions
- Search & analytics: OpenSearch or equivalent
- CI/CD: GitLab CI, deployment automation (Ansible, ArgoCD)
