Job Summary
Design and optimize SQL and PL/SQL scripts, procedures, and functions while supporting database design, schema changes, and data model improvements. Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases and related components, including Exadata Cloud Customer and OCI/Azure environments. Build and support ETL processes and data pipelines for reporting and downstream integrations, utilizing technologies like Talend, Azure Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric. Monitor database health, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement tuning improvements. Manage security, access controls, backup/recovery processes, and deployment support using Liquibase. Create and maintain technical documentation to track development activities.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of relational database design and logical/physical data modeling
- Practical experience using SQL and PL/SQL for database operations, scripting, and automation
- Strong working knowledge of relational database platforms, especially Oracle 19c/23ai
- Experience with Oracle Forms and Oracle APEX for maintaining, supporting, or developing database-driven applications
- Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments, including shell scripting and automation
- Proven ability to build and optimize data pipelines and workflows using technologies such as Talend, Azure Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric
- Experience in automated database deployment using Liquibase
Desired Qualifications
- Exadata Cloud Customer (ExaCC) familiarity with cloud technologies, including Oracle OCI and Azure
- AI-assisted database development
