Job Summary
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will lead the creation and execution of data models and strategies that feed Blockworks' products. Responsibilities include owning data sourcing pipelines, designing and implementing ETL solutions, providing technical leadership, driving operational efficiency, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. You must have significant knowledge of the crypto industry, at least 4 years of relevant experience, and expertise in various programming languages and data processing tools.
Required Qualifications
- Significant knowledge of the crypto industry
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with data modeling, schema design, data operations, and data warehousing
- Expertise in Python, Go, Rust, and/or Typescript
- Strong expertise in SQL (ideally Parquet, Postgres, and Clickhouse)
- Experience creating data warehouses at scale (100M+ rows per day)
- Experience using DevOps tools and cloud solutions like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP
- Comfortable working with modern data orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster
- Hands-on experience with SQL transformation frameworks such as dbt or SQLMesh
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in crypto, web3, startup, or incubator environments
- Background in designing, building, and managing microservices
- Expertise in security, privacy, and scalability
