Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer role focused on owning Blinq's data analytics infrastructure, building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL to data warehouses or data lakes, ensuring data quality, integrating data from multiple sources, collaborating with Product and Engineering, driving data-driven decisions, and documenting data processes. You will work closely with product and engineering teams, design scalable analytics solutions, and contribute to a modern analytics stack (dbt, SQL, Python/R, Segment, Amplitude, Looker Studio, BigQuery, AWS/GCP). The role is hybrid, based in Melbourne or Sydney (Australia).
Required Qualifications
- Strong SQL data wrangling skills
- Experience in using a data modeling tool like dbt
- Experience in using Python or R
- Experience in using a modern event data stack and familiarity with Segment, Amplitude, Looker Studio, BigQuery, AWS/GCP (desirable)
- Solid grounding in mathematics and statistics
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly
- Exposure to data systems supporting ML and database migration/desan
