Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer to support federal program data platforms by building and maintaining scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration. Responsibilities include developing ETL/ELT workflows for data warehouses and data lakes, monitoring and improving data quality, reliability, and performance across the data ecosystem, and deploying, automating, and sustaining production data systems in a cloud environment. Collaborate with architects, analysts, and developers to deliver data solutions aligned with mission needs. Must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience in data engineering or data integration, with hands-on experience in Python, SQL, or Scala, and familiarity with cloud-based data platforms. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees, experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, AWS data services, and data governance practices. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in data engineering or data integration
- Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, or Scala
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and big data environments
- Demonstrated experience with data ingestion, transformation, curation, and pipeline troubleshooting
- Active Secret security clearance or higher, or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or higher in accordance with contract requirements
