Job Summary
Collaborate with clients to understand business objectives and data requirements, then analyze complex datasets to identify trends and patterns. Develop data models and visualizations to present findings, while working to bring data into an existing data lake. Implement data solutions with cross-functional teams and provide guidance to junior consultants. Maintain expertise in hydro or energy industry data, leveraging SQL, Python, and Tableau skills. This long-term contract role involves supporting a large Canadian hydro company in Ottawa, ON, with potential extensions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with data and clients in the hydro or energy industry
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis and consulting
- Prior working experience with Snowflake, Azure Databricks and Oracle
- Strong knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools, such as SQL, Python, and Tableau
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
