Job Summary
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise WAN, LAN, and MAN network infrastructure including Cisco ISR, Nexus, Catalyst, and ASA hardware. Optimize routing, switching, wireless, and firewall configurations while supporting last-mile technologies like satellite and network services. Provide Tier 3 support for escalated incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure stability across distributed environments. Mentor technical staff, create configuration documentation, and lead modernization initiatives for security solutions such as Cisco Firepower and Palo Alto. Deliver incident resolution reports and performance optimization recommendations to ensure reliable connectivity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Certifications in networking such as Cisco CCNP or CCIE
- Certifications in network security technologies
- Additional training in network monitoring, WAN optimization, or security platforms
- Proven experience configuring, deploying, and administering large enterprise network environments
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking hardware including ISR, Nexus, Catalyst, ASA, and wireless platforms
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Experience working in distributed LAN, MAN, and WAN environments
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as Cisco Prime, DNA, ISE, and LiveAction
- Experience supporting content filtering and security solutions including Zscaler, Palo Alto, and BlueCoat
- Ability to work independently and in high-pressure environments
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field considered an asset
- Certifications in networking such as Cisco CCNP or CCIE considered an asset
- Certifications in network security technologies considered an asset
