Job Summary
Evaluate and recommend vendor software packages, preparing specifications for modifications and customization of operating systems, database management systems, and compilers. Coordinate the installation, maintenance, and design of in-house software packages while consulting with vendors on hardware problems and system performance. Advise end-users and administrators on network design, documentation, and problem analysis for complex enterprise systems. Perform database planning, administration, and security implementation, reviewing feasibility of proposed additions and modifications. Monitor network hardware resources, establish configuration data, and diagnose performance issues across LANs, mainframes, and WANs. Manage configuration data on network components and analyze attached devices including servers, bridges, and workstations. This role supports state business functions within a large-scale Enterprise Architecture environment.
Required Qualifications
- prior experience with large-scale state Enterprise Architecture systems serving multiple governmental agencies
- experience in an Enterprise Architecture environment comprised of various components
- familiarity with how the various components of an Enterprise Architecture integrate
- a general understanding and experience with at least one of the following EA components or similar technologies: Decision Center, Decision Server-Business Rules Engine (BRE), webMethods-Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), API Gateway-Enterprise API Gateway
Desired Qualifications
- at least six (6) years experience performing these duties in large-scale Enterprise Architecture environments
- a general understanding and experience with the following EA components or similar technologies: Nutanix Nutanix/Dell Hyper-converged computing with compute, storage and virtualization consolidated into a single appliance, VxRail Dell Hyper-converged computing with compute, storage and virtualization consolidated into a single appliance, ESXi VMware, vCenter VMware, NSX VMware, SRM VMware, Windows Server -Microsoft Standard OS for Windows, RedHat Enterprise -Linux RedHat Standard OS for Linux...
