Job Summary
Senior Data Center Risk Management Specialist role within a data center insurance brokerage. Focus on de-risking project financing through sophisticated insurance architecture, OSIP/CCIP governance, and acting as a subject-matter authority for risk in data center construction and live operations. Responsibilities include designing insurance placement strategies, managing lender covenants and capital-partner expectations, administering Owner-Controlled Insurance Programs, ensuring policy enrollment and ongoing vetting across project participants, coordinating with GC safety and risk teams, leading risk reviews with contractors, tracking budgets and asset values, translating technical risk concepts for non-insurance stakeholders, and building a scalable risk framework. Candidates should bring proven data center risk experience, comfort with high-visibility environments, independence, and the ability to travel; preferred proximity to New York Metro or willingness to remote/hybrid if outside the region.
Required Qualifications
- Deep hands-on expertise in data center construction and operations risk
- Experience designing OSIP/CCIP programs
- Experience with lenders, developers, and large GCs on complex projects
- Experience with hyperscale, enterprise, or mission-critical infrastructure assets
- Executive gravitas and comfort operating in high-stakes environments
- Consultative mindset with independent operation while integrating with leadership
- Period travel to active data center sites in the U.S. and Europe may be required
