Job Summary
Maintain data center infrastructure and ensure reliability for Europe's most powerful AI supercomputer, Colosseum. Respond to incidents, support troubleshooting, and contribute to architecture design for next-generation systems. Automate processes, integrate systems, and implement ongoing optimizations while staying current with industry trends. Collaborate with team members to evaluate improvements and bring new ideas to the project.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or a related field
- At least 6 years of experience as a Data Center Operations Engineer or in similar roles
- Certification to work with MV/LV electrical systems (Medium Voltage / Low Voltage)
- Certifications (PES / PAV / PEI or equivalent, DCIS or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of data center operations and critical infrastructure environments
- Solid knowledge of industry standards, including ISO 50001 (Energy Management Systems)
- Hands-on experience with data center monitoring, control, and integration systems, including BMC for the IT hardware and related tools
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and management protocols such as Redfish, SNMP, and MQTT
- Working knowledge of Python for automation and integration tasks
- Experience with modern system integration frameworks and APIs (e.g. MCP or similar technologies)
- Fluent in English
