Senior Data Center Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Troubleshoot equipment failures, conduct root cause analysis, and create corrective action documentation for electrical critical systems. Support operational teams as a subject matter expert for issue resolution, event response, and complex procedural reviews. Perform availability, capacity, efficiency, and sustainability analyses for regional data center electrical systems, producing reports with risk mitigations. Monitor performance trends to drive continuous improvement and capital projects, while developing conceptual designs for upgrades that enhance capacity and sustainability. Function as a resident engineer for construction and retrofit projects in critical environments, providing feedback to design engineering teams. Coordinate globally across multiple geographical regions to maintain consistency in delivered services.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems employed in a data center environment
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, schematics, Sequence of Operations, submittals, and MEP drawings packages
  • Strong Outlook, Publisher, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Understanding of data analysis methodologies, statistical techniques, and business acumen
  • Ability to analyze and implement solutions for problem resolution
