Job Summary
Deploy and maintain data center infrastructure by racking, stacking, and wiring servers, power distribution units, and switches. Diagnose and repair hardware, debug network and Linux OS issues, and perform upgrades, integrations, and rebuilds. Submit RMA requests to manufacturers, manage server and component inventory, and track remote work requests. Evaluate data center events to drive improvements and ensure timely resolution. Update operational documentation, standardize frameworks, and assist with budgetary planning. Participate in an on-call rotation and travel domestically and internationally for new data center setups.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (must be comfortable with driving)
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (10% - 15% travel)
- Ability to be on your feet all day
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs
- Proficient understanding in data center power and cooling design and architecture
- Experience deploying and troubleshooting GPU Hardware
- Strong understanding of operating systems (OS) such as Linux; proficient with bash scripting
- Strong understanding in infrastructure hardware deployment and troubleshooting skills in networking, hardware, and Linux OS related issues
- Strong understanding in data center cabling plans and best practices
- Able to evaluate and discuss data center events and/or incidents, leveraging data to drive improvements, while taking action and ensuring timely resolution and closure
- A strong desire and aptitude for solving problems and performing deep technical dives to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
- Ability to update, review and approve operational documentation and procedures
- Experience developing and standardizing operational framework that drive improvement
- Can assist with budgetary and planning requirements for future projects and initiatives
- Ability to create and define key performance metrics to help drive efficiency
- Ability to operate and navigate effectively through ambiguity
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
