Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain modern enterprise data warehouses and lakehouse solutions using Python, SQL, and PySpark. Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, robust data models, and reporting dashboards that translate business requirements into actionable insights. Work with stakeholders to ensure data quality, governance, and security across Azure cloud platforms and Power BI semantic models. Contribute to application development, code reviews, and Agile delivery while continuously improving data architecture and automation. Required Qualifications
- Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer, Data Specialist, or Data Platform Engineer delivering enterprise data solutions
- Advanced Python, SQL, and PySpark skills
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, or Snowflake
- Strong experience in data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and BI-focused data modelling
- Hands-on experience building batch and streaming data pipelines
- Good understanding of medallion architectures, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers
- Experience working with external APIs to ingest, synchronise, and integrate data
- Strong knowledge of data governance, security, access controls, compliance, and quality management
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Azure AI Foundry
- Experience with cloud-native data solutions, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
- Experience building or supporting Power BI semantic models and reporting solutions
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Experience working in Agile teams and in consulting or client-facing environments
Desired Qualifications
- Domain experience in finance, ERP, SAP, or other complex business systems
- Experience with AWS or another cloud platform alongside Azure
- Experience building AI-enabled applications, including vector databases, RAG, and AI agents
- Experience integrating AI agents with enterprise systems via APIs, Microsoft Teams, or other business platforms
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform
- Experience developing business applications using .NET/C#, Python, Laravel, or similar modern frameworks
