Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale data platforms supporting operational and analytical workloads. Architect and implement batch and real-time streaming data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery of enterprise data. Define and govern architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices while optimizing data models, schemas, and query performance across transactional and analytical systems. Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to solve complex data challenges and ensure platform reliability, security, and observability. Mentor engineering teams and provide architectural guidance on implementation and technical decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in enterprise data architecture, platform design, development, and maintenance
- Deep understanding of data engineering concepts, ETL/ELT frameworks, distributed systems, and data integration patterns
- Proven expertise in designing scalable batch and streaming data architectures
- Strong understanding of both transactional and analytical data platforms
- Oracle
- PostgreSQL
- MongoDB
- Apache Druid
- Databricks ecosystem (Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog)
- Data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical)
- Database design
- Query optimization
- Schema design
- Stored procedure tuning

- Event-driven data processing
- Batch data processing frameworks
- 8–12 years of experience in data engineering / database engineering / platform architecture
- 3+ years in architecture or technical leadership roles
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise data engineering / architecture
- 5+ years in architecture leadership roles
- Proven experience designing and scaling enterprise data platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with business-oriented thinking
- Ability to bridge business requirements with technical architecture decisions
- Hands-on technical leader capable of architecture as well as implementation oversight
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience mentoring teams and driving engineering best practices
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to Mage for pipeline orchestration/development
- Exposure to analytics and reporting platforms such as Apache Superset and related BI/data serving tools
- Experience with enterprise data governance and metadata management
- Exposure to observability and monitoring for data platforms
- CI/CD for data engineering deployments
- Understanding of access control, security, and governance frameworks
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
