Job Summary
Senior Data Architect to lead FPAC EDAPT enterprise data architecture initiatives across cloud and on-prem environments. Translate business and mission requirements into scalable data solutions for enterprise reporting and analytics, establish end-to-end data strategy (ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, consumption), develop conceptual/logical/physical data models, govern multi-source integrations and pipelines, ensure secure data sharing and interoperability, drive metadata management and governance, align with federal security and compliance (FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53), mentor teams, and collaborate with executives and engineers to scale data platforms using AWS services (S3, Athena, Glue, Redshift) and related technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, data engineering, or data platform modernization
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Proven experience leading large-scale enterprise data architecture initiatives
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, Glue, and Redshift
- Experience across hybrid environments including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Informix
- Strong experience with: Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Metadata Management, Data Governance, Data Modeling, Enterprise Integration Patterns
- Knowledge of: FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting USDA or other Federal Civilian agencies
- PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or SAFe certifications
- Exposure to cloud data ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of ETL, data lake, data governance, and modern BI platforms
